FAQ
What happens during my first appointment?
Please allow 1 1/2 -2 hours for your first appointment.
We will have an informal discussion to gather various information through questioning and physical analysis:
Questioning – on areas such as your past and present health, lifestyle, systems (e.g. sleep, digestion), medical and family history.
Physical analysis – includes taking your pulse on both wrists, observing your tongue and feeling the temperature of your skin.
This information helps me to make an informed diagnosis and allows me to make a tailor-made treatment plan.
After the initial consultation you will receive a 20-minute treatment.
Subsequent treatments will last 45 minutes / 1 hour.
How should I prepare for my first treatment?
Please wear comfortable loose clothing. Preferably something you can roll up over your knees. If you don't have any loose clothing, please feel free to bring a blanket.
Try and have something to eat an hour prior to your appointment and ensure you are hydrated.
How should I make payment?
Payment can be made in cash or via bank transfer.
What happens if I can't make my appointment?
Please give at least 48 hours' notice if you are unable to make your appointment. If I am able to rebook your time slot, I will be happy to wavier the cancellation charge. Please remember I am a small business but I will do my best to accommodate you.
How many sessions will I need?
Initially it may be beneficial to have weekly Acupuncture treatment and as your symptoms start to improve, we can start to spread out treatments to monthly sessions based on the nature of your complaint.
