At LC Acupuncture, we offer red light therapy as a gentle, non-invasive treatment that can be enjoyed on its own or alongside acupuncture.

Using a professional PlatinumLED light therapy device, sessions are tailored to your individual needs in a calm, supportive environment.

What is red light therapy?

Red light therapy, also known as photobiomodulation, uses specific wavelengths of red and near-infrared light. Unlike ultraviolet (UV) light, these wavelengths interact with the body in different ways.

Red light therapy and acupuncture

Red light therapy and acupuncture are different treatments that can be considered separately or together, depending on your needs and suitability.

You can book red light therapy as a standalone treatment without needles, or we can discuss incorporating it into an acupuncture appointment. Each session is planned individually, with realistic expectations and your comfort in mind.

Is red light therapy suitable for me?

Before your first session, we’ll discuss your health, medication and any factors that may affect your suitability for treatment. Some medical conditions and medications require additional precautions, and treatment may not be appropriate for everyone.

Red light therapy is a complementary treatment and does not replace medical advice or prescribed healthcare. Protective eyewear will be used in accordance with the device manufacturer's guidance.
